Realizing Opportunities Publishing
Our Mission
Realizing Opportunities Publishing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people discover and live a life of abundance through faith-centered publishing.
We believe that a life well lived looks back one day to realize it enjoyed decades defined by laughter, good health, meaning, and memories with loved ones. It wasn’t held captive by over-scrutinizing every calorie, fearing impending losses, or feeling isolated.
Such a life of abundance is possible.
Rather than “live to eat” or “eat to live” - we should live to love.
The Five Pillars for a Life of Abundance
Our work is grounded in five dynamic factors that work together to produce a life of abundance:
1. Spiritual Purpose
Many people today feel separated from God because the world is so riddled with ugliness. It would be lost, but God so loves the world that he sent Jesus Christ to pay off those debts and be a living role model for us on how to rediscover our spiritual purpose for living. Establishing a personal spiritual purpose in life transforms suffering into virtue, gives you reasons not to give up, and encourages you to become better. Living a meaningful life directed from the highest connection - that of our soul to the creator of the universe - is the bedrock of a life of abundance, no matter how hard it gets.
2. Family
Our family is our core support network we rely on throughout our lives. Families should have projects together, focused around common hobbies, a shared spiritual purpose, raising children, and passing along values over the generations. Our family keeps us going, cares for us in our times of need, and motivates us to success.
3. Community
Humans are social creatures, but social media is not a replacement for real friends. The best experiences aren’t measured by how many “likes” the “perfect” photo got, but in the camaraderie and bonding that happens by going through experiences together. Our community is where we live out our spiritual purpose.
4. Exercise, Rest, and Play
The human body is built to move, yet the modern American lifestyle has become mostly sedentary. Continual, low intensity exercise throughout the day, with adequate sleep, and dedicated time reserved for play and enjoyment, all help maintain a body that is resistant to chronic diseases, inflammation, and achiness.
5. Nutrition
Eat fresh whole, natural foods - not highly processed convenience foods full of sugar, preservatives, and artificial ingredients. Stop eating once you are about 80% full. Drink enough water. The emphasis is on fresh, whole foods prepared by hand, rather than microwave processed foods. Avoid the drive-thru fast food lifestyle like the poison it is.
